Did you know that most menstrual products contain plastic?
Over the course of a year, the UK dispose of 4.3 million menstrual products. Often these products are (incorrectly) flushed down the toilet, entering the sewage system. This waste ends up within the waterways, throughout the UK’s rivers and just one of these products can take up to 500 years to fully decompose. Even if the used products are disposed of correctly, the fumes that are created in burning these products are the toxic, or they are just put into landfill. This is why we should try and move to plastic-free feminine products. They can be gentle on the body and the environment.
&SISTERS aim to make women’s wellness and feminine hygiene truly ethical and sustainable. Their wish is to provide girls and women with period products and educational resources. Their SistersForSisters foundation gives 10% of their profits to help women’s health, education and economic situation to end period poverty. All of their products are recyclable and biodegradable, toxin-free and 100% organic which means absolutely nothing artificial. One of their products is the nüdie cup; a smooth, 100% hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone cup. If sent back to &SISTERS, they can recycle the cup through industrial facilities, to make sure it is responsibly disposed of.
The silicone is soft and extremely bendable which allows for ultimate comfort and easy insertion and removal. Just apply like a tampon and enjoy your day!

Medium - Diameter 42mm, length 61 mm,
Large - Diameter 46mm, length 66mm, capacity 32ml
How do I clean my Nüdie?
There are three stages; daily cleaning, cleaning at the end of your period to store it, and the infrequent removal of stains. &SISTERS recommend you rinse it at least once daily. If abroad, make sure, you clean it with drinking water. Also avoid harsh cleaning products that are not made for internal use. At the end of your period you should sanitise your cup, boiling is the most effective way! But you can also use other sterilisation methods such as baby bottle sterilisation. Also make sure to clean the tri-flow holes, an old toothbrush is a great way to reuse something, and to make the cup clean for the next cycle.
How do I clean stains from my Nüdie?
You can clean the Nüdie by soaking it in a diluted vinegar solution, but be sure to thoroughly clean the cup after. It is recommended doing this no more than every 3 months, as it can damage the silicone.
How do I know what size to get?
&SISTERS have created their cup with all women in mind, making it available in three sizes. The small/teen is ideal for women under 18years old. The medium fits women between 18-30 years old that have not given birth and the large fits women over 30 or who have given birth. But go with the measurements, every female body is different.
How long can I wear it for?
They recommend to not exceed a 12 hour wear.
What can I do with my Nüdie in?
What can’t you do?! With the nüdie in, you can do any sport, sleep, you can even go to the toilet! Just make sure it is still comfortable and secure afterwards.
How much can it hold?
It has a capacity of from 18-32ml. This is three times more than what a tampon can hold.
