IS PLASTIC-FREE GUILT FREE?
WHY SWITCH TO SUSTAINABILITY?
Who doesn’t like to start their day with a cup of coffee? But this love of yours leads to consumption of an enormous amount of disposable cups, be it plastic or paper.
We all know how harmful plastic is for the environment which takes more than 500 years to decompose. But did you know 6.5 billion trees are cut down and 4 billion gallons of water is used each year to produce disposable paper cups.
But a reusable cup will last you a lifetime.
IS IT A WISE CHOICE?
The Stojo’s collapsible coffee mug is the compact saviour we all have been waiting for. One cup saves 281 gallons of water, 16lbs of solid waste and 23 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions!
They come in four sizes: 8oz, 12oz, 16oz and 24oz, so you can pick out the one that suits your needs the best. The cup comes along with a tab, straw and heat sleeve, which are made out of LFGB certified silicone and is BPA free. As you screw the lid it creates an airtight leak-proof seal, check once before keeping it in the bag. The cup comes apart easily and is dishwasher safe.
When you don’t need the cup, just press the top and it conveniently folds up like an accordion. It takes little to no space in your bag and you can carry it wherever and whenever you want.
HOW TO GO ABOUT IT?
Wash your cup thoroughly after you receive it in the mail. Then just whip up your favourite drink, be it ice tea, a smoothie or hot coffee and put it into your cup. Put on the seal and sip your drink.
If you’re on the go and stumble across a cute coffee shop, just politely refuse the plastic or paper cup they offer and give them your Stojo cup to make your order.
When you’re done with your drink, just press it gently from the top and you can see it collapse. As soon as you reach home, take apart the components of the cup and put it in your dishwasher or hand wash it.

HOW TO DISPOSE RESPONSIBLY?
Well, this cup is built to last for ages, it’s basically indestructible. But for the worst case scenario, the lid and heat sleeve can be recycled so place it in your curbside recycling bin.
When it comes to the cup which is made out of silicone, we’re still looking for ways to recycle it. We urge you to speak to your local recycling facility if they recycle silicone. But you don’t have to worry about that for a really long time.
