Everyone loves their daily nighttime oral hygiene routine with flossing being their absolute favourite step. But little do you know that the regular floss container is made of plastic and is here to stay for more than 500 years. The floss spindle being made of nylon makes it non-biodegradable and adds up to the landfill waste...only if it ends up there.
Because of the way it's shaped and sized, it gets swept off in the ocean where it either ends up in the stomach of aquatic animals or strangles and chokes them. Ouch, we know!
But worry not, we’re here to provide a green solution to it.

Vimi’s silk floss is 100% biodegradable. Unlike plastic floss it doesn’t contain PFC making it non-toxic. It comes in a refreshing peppermint flavour, all bundled up in a cute glass jar. It’s lightweight and easy to carry.
HOW TO GO ABOUT IT?
Cut the floss in your desired length with the help of the lid hinge.
Now roll in between your fingers and floss away.
Dispose the floss in the compost bin.

We’re currently working on refillable silk floss spools, so you can preserve the jar and get your money's worth. But till then, you could use it as a storage container for your sewing needles, glitter, cake sprinkles and a lot more. Let your imagination run wild!
HOW TO DISPOSE RESPONSIBLY?
If you’ve made it this far, you know that your floss is supposed to go in the compost bin. The glass jar, the metal cap along with our packaging kraft paper are easily recycled and thus goes in your recycling bin.
